Our Story

Born from Nature, Built for the Future

The idea for GigaTech was born during a trip to Raja Ampat, Indonesia. While quarantined due to COVID-19, my dad and I spent two weeks observing the boats as they navigated the waters. With my experience on a solar car team in Tokai University, I recognized the potential of harnessing solar energy in a variety of applications.

Surrounded by abundant sun and sea, we saw an opportunity to develop sustainable technologies. Driven by our family’s love for travel and the outdoors, we founded GigaTech to create innovative solutions that utilize renewable energy.

While our mission includes supporting fishermen and communities in remote areas with limited access to fuel, we are dedicated to offering high-quality, affordable products for everyone.

Our journey began with the concept of solar-powered boats but has since expanded to include a range of eco-friendly solutions designed to preserve the beauty of nature and make sustainable technology accessible to all.

Nusantara, Our First Light

2022

Nusantara I began as a small solar boat project during the pandemic, evolving from a hobby into the inspiration for GigaTech’s creation.

2023

Nusantara II, a solar-powered jukung, marked GigaTech’s start in sustainable water transport.

2024

GigaTech supported Hydros Team UI at the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge 2024, advancing clean marine technology and empowering young innovators.

GigaTech partnered with BRIN to unite research and industry in accelerating green technology for Indonesia’s future.

2025

GigaTech sponsored SMV UI in winning the Prototype Hydrogen category at Shell Eco-Marathon 2025.

The official launch of GigaTech’s electric marine systems with BRIN at Pacitan’s Maron River.

In Raja Ampat, we converted gasoline outboards to electric, set up solar charging stations, and installed solar systems for homes.
